Job Summary:
Using the specs provided by our foreman, you will work in a drug free environment fabricating /assembling/installing cabinets that meet very specific specifications while working alongside other team members in the shop or in the field.
Normal work hours 7 am through 3:30 pm Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. We offer competitive pay and benefits after the completion of your probation period.
Job Responsibilities :
• Assemble cabinet components using glue/clamps, dowels, screws and staples ensuring that all pieces fit the dimensions as specified by the shop drawings and shop foreman.
• Fabricate wood pieces for assembly.
• Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges, drawer slides and handles.
• Repair and adjust pieces to ensure perfect alignment and proper assembly.
• Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units as specified by shop drawings.
• Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials.
• Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work.
Work in the field installing cabinets and counter-tops.
Job Skills & Qualifications Required:
• Ability to read blueprints, work from shop drawings, and read/understand design drawings to fabricate custom millwork products.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Must be able to think and problem solve in the field to address minor installation issues.
• Attention to detail and pride in completed work is required.
• Experience with multiple types of finish including stain and lacquer.
• Experience in applying plastic laminate and fabricating solid surface counter-tops.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Clean class E drivers license.
• Drug free shop with random drug testing
Preferred:
• One or more years of cabinetmaking experience.
• Trade school desirable
